What is SOS

Goals:

Summer of Service is a youth work experience which grows Christian business leaders, lives out Biblical values and impacts our community.  We will achieve the following goals:

  • Provide meaningful work opportunities
  • Create experiences that mold and shape
  • Influence the next generation
  • Give real world business and life experiences.
  • Impact our community

Scope and Plan

Employ 20 Jr. & Sr. High Christian Youth for seven weeks, working 26 hours a week.


The work will include 

  • Church and  nonprofit projects, 
  • Repurposing and enhancement projects, 
  • Community service and special event projects.


Applications are now being accepted for the 16 Intern positions and 4 squad leader positions.  Deadlline is April 15 

Church, Business and Community Partnership

The Summer of Service is a partnership with local churches, businesses and community organizations who invest in our youth today for a better tomorrow. 


Living Word Church of the Bay Area is the Home Congregation for SOS Seabrook Chapter.  www.LWCBA.org


SOS involves business and community leaders in weekly teen talks, project management and on-job-trainings.


SOS is funded by church, corporate and individual tax-deductable donations.


Funding Goal: $ 3800.00 per youth (Includes, wages, project costs, events, supervision,  materials and supplies.)
